In-Depth Views on our Inner Constitution

T. Subba Row and H.P. Blavatsky, on the seven-fold principle in man 1882-1887

Here, in one place, you will find all the published correspondence between H.P.Blavatsky and T. Subba Row on their differing views regarding the constitution of the human being. This is a dialogue between two great intellects, uncommonly informed by a deep understanding of esoteric philosophy.

We also include Josephine Ransom's valuable review article, on the man, the subject matter, and the debate.

This is a subject, discussion of which at times exasperated Mme Blavatsky. In 1889, she said to a group of her students at Blavatsky Lodge London: "Look here, you Europeans ought never to have been given the seven principles. Well, perhaps in a hundred years you will understand it."*

It is now more than a hundred years, and generations of us have gained a great deal from the teachings given concerning the seven-fold principle in the human being and nature.
